Welcome!!! Thank you so much for checking out my blog!!! I am so excited to have a place to share all of the things I love and I am passionate about including fashion and beauty finds, good deals and sales, and of course all of my adventures as a wife, mom to two toddlers girls, and as a full-time Account Executive in NYC. Life is crazy and so busy and trying to balance it all can sometimes be a lot (is there really such a thing as balance???). It is also absolutely amazing and so fun, and I am grateful for it all, even the chaos.
A little bit about me and what I hope this blog will become. I am in my mid(ish) thirties and I live in Long Island, NY, but I am originally from central CT. I went to Hofstra University and when I graduated, after a year of ‘finding myself’ (my parents were not that happy), I got a full-time job in advertising in NYC. This is where I met my husband, Mike, and after many years of dating (6+ years!) we got engaged, bought a house in Long Island, had a destination wedding, and had our two beautiful daughters! We both still work in advertising but at different companies now and sometimes we have crazy hours, but we make it work and try to truly appreciate every free moment we have with each other, our girls, and our friends and family. Before I had my daughters, I had a photography business on the side, but the editing became too much with a full-time job and two kids. However, photography still is such a passion of mine and I love taking pictures of my girls! I also love creating beautiful graphic design items for my friends and family from invitations, to cards, and decorations for parties. So, if you take my creative side and pair it with my love of sharing great deals and items I find with anyone and everyone, a blog seemed like it would be great fit for me. I get so excited when I find a cool new item, or a product that really works, or a really good sale and I instantly text and email all of my friends. I become obsessed with things and want everyone to know! I am now so excited that I get to share all of these finds and ‘obsessions’ here with all of you! In addition to fashion, home, and beauty, I would love to also share with you holiday décor/tips, travel ideas/tips, posts on figuring out this working mom thing , and fun kid stuff like any cool recipes I find (and that my kids will actually eat), easy kid DIY projects and gifts ideas, and any kid/parenting news or info I find that I think is a must know! I also love to read, and my hope is to have a monthly book club, where I share with you a monthly book recommendation, book club questions, as well as book club party ideas.
I am so excited for what is to come and so grateful that I now have this blog to share with you and hopefully give some inspiration to others! Life as a mom, working or stay at home, is crazy and there are so many times I look to others for help with so many aspects of my life. The saying that it takes a village to raise a family is so true, but it also takes a village to help me figure out what to wear, what I am giving people for gifts, how I am decorating my home, what we’re were eating, where my next vacation is, and what activities I am doing with my kids! My hope is that this blog helps you with some of these things and that you can help me too! I am definitely someone who is always trying to learn and become a better person, mom, wife, friend, co-worker, family member etc. and I am looking forward to growing with this blog and all that is yet to come!
